DROP 01: Netflix Unveils Animated Series Lineup

Netflix will be having its first ever virtual showcase titled DROP 01, featuring the digital premiere of Castlevania: Nocturne and celebrating the best of the streaming service’s genre animated series (think fantasy, anime, adaptations, and properties of that nature).

DROP 01 will be a global livestream event broadcasted on the Netflix Twitch on Wednesday, September 27 at 9am.

The event kicks off with the first three episodes of Castlevania: Nocturne, a day before the series officially debuts on Netflix, and will include surprise announcements, never-before-seen, sneak peek “drops” (Ah we see what you did there, Netflix).

In between each episode, there will be reveals from upcoming animated series such as Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Sonic PrimeChapter 3, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, Blue Eye Samurai, Pluto, Masters of the Universe: Revolution, and more.

Additionally, viewers will be able to access branded products available for purchase featuring Castlevanie: Nocturne and Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. 

Official DROP 01 Partners include: Konami (Castlevania: Nocturne), Sonic the Hedgehog/Sega, Wildbrain (Sonic Prime Chapter 3), Ubisoft (Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix), UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group (Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), Studio M2 (Pluto) and Mattel (Masters of the Universe: Revolution), plus Capcom, Crystal Dynamics and Legendary.
