SEGA’s free-to-play online action RPG, Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis, is celebrating its 12th Anniversary with its Super Phantasy Festival on July 3, Ultra PSO2 Day on July 1, and the launch of Line Strike on July 10.
As part of the Super Phantasy Festival, players can expect to see special decorations in the key location of Central City, the main hub for interacting with other players and vendors, accepting quests, upgrading gear, and learning new skills. As part of this festival, players will be able to access new quests, exclusive items, and increased rate boosts until July 31.
Players, both new and old, will also be able to enjoy and benefit from the 100 Million EXP! Rapid-fire Training Campaign that will be providing N-EXP +100,000,000 when reaching Level 20 with any class, which will allow players to rapidly level up from Level 20 to Level 87 instantly.
Ultra PSO2 Day will offer infinite Bursts, luxurious gifts, and a +200% boost in Rare Drop and Item Preset Skill Rates for seven days. An additional Ultra PSO2 Day will be held on July 21 for players that are subscribed to Premium Set features and will offer 150 free draws on Star Gems (SG) Scratch Tickets, the lottery system for obtaining random items including unique and limited-time cosmetics that can’t be obtained elsewhere.
Line Strike is a new card battle game that will feature various battle modes, allow for replays of past battles and of other players, and allow for enhancements for decks by completing tasks and collecting cards as well as customizations such as card sleeves and playmats.
Battle modes in Line Strike:
- NPC Battle – perfect for practicing and testing your skills
- Ranked Battle – compete against players at a similar skill level
- Unranked Battle – jump into a game without worrying about how it will impact your rating
- Free Battle – battle against an opponent of your choice, regardless of skill level
Currently, the game has a collaboration with the anime, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 which includes a limited-time login bonus, avatar items, and themed build parts for decorating Creative Spaces. These avatar items will allow players to cosplay as their favorite characters such as Lelouch, C.C., Suzaku, and Kallen.
Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis is available on PC (Windows) through the Microsoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store; Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and a cloud streaming version for Nintendo Switch.
