Ahead of the release of Sick Girl, Lionsgate has shared an early clip with Dorkaholics.
In this one-minute clip, we find Nina Dobrev’s character, Wren Pepper, showing signs of a stage 5 clinger to her friend Laurel (played by Sherry Cola), as the latter is preparing for a marathon with an evening jog and is inviting the former to join her.
Wren is completely opposed to the activity as she hasn’t even finished a 5K before, let alone a marathon (that’s a difference of over 20 miles by the way). In fact, she considers such things to be torture. Quite ironic as she lights a cigarette indicating her lifestyle habits as a smoker.
In place of joining the jog, Wren suggests dinner and drinks, but Laurel declines stating that she is not drinking until after the marathon and that she doesn’t eat after 7pm as a result of her intermittent fasting.
Catch 99-minute Sick Girl in theaters (as well as on digital and on demand) starting October 20, 2023. (Note this film is rated R)
