For Golding, the biggest challenge in filming the intense fight scenes was the physical demand.

“You really need to know that choreography down to a tee for the safety, not only for yourself, but also the other stunt crew,” he explained.

Making the characters of this film as complex as humanly possible was important in bringing the personality and characteristics of the mysterious ninja.

“In the beginning of the movie, you see him pretty much at his lowest. And you understand why he is in that position and what motivates him to do what he does. Is it the right thing? Who knows?” Golding elaborated. “But for him it is his North Star, and perhaps that North Star isn’t the right thing to aim for and so through his journey with Storm Shadow and the Arashikage, he learns the way of being the person that he should be.”
