Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that director Matt Reeves has begun working on a script for the sequel to The Batman. He and Dylan Clark will be returning to produce the next story in their take on the Dark Knight.
As The Batman has surpassed the $750 million at the global box office, this announcement was made by Warner Bros. Pictures Group Chairman Toby Emmerich and Reeves himself, who joined Emmerich onstage during the Warner Bros. Pictures presentation’s opening remarks at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
In the meantime, Reeves is currently collaborating with J.J. Abrams and Bruce Timm on HBO Max’s upcoming animated series Batman: Caped Crusader.
