Neil Bui: Hi Jordyn, my name is Neil. I’m with Dorkaholics, where we believe that there’s a dork in everyone, and it’s our job to bring that dork out into the world.

Jordyn McIntosh: I love that title.

Neil Bui: Thank you. Hopefully you’re just as dorky as us. I gotta say, you say the coolest things I can imagine for someone your age.

Jordyn McIntosh: Yes, that’s very true.

Neil Bui: For your character, do you think of yourself as a young Paige or inner child Paige?

Jordyn McIntosh: Inner child Paige.

Neil Bui: So with that, do you think of yourself more as a child that knows adult things or an adult in a child’s body?

Jordyn McIntosh: The first one.

Neil Bui: A child that knows adult things. And what was it like working with Kerry Washington? Because you’re both playing the same character in a way, but just expressing different sides of yourselves.

Jordyn McIntosh: It’s awesome playing her. It’s really amazing because I’m her inner child, so I have the freedom to test out what she’s doing, so see what she’s doing in the scene, then I can kind of mimic that.

Neil Bui: You’re doing things and sometimes no one’s there really realizing. I remember in season one there was a whole dance scene during the dinner.

Jordyn McIntosh: Yeah, I love that scene.

Neil Bui: Are there any characters that you wish you could interact with more directly, not just in her consciousness?

Jordyn McIntosh: I wish I could do scenes with Faly more and also Edwin too because I would really like to give him advice. So probably they’ll be my top two, Faly and Edwin.

Neil Bui: What has been your favorite line to say in season two? No context needed.

Jordyn McIntosh: Oh! There’s this one line that I absolutely loved because we do it over and over again. It’s the line right before the fantasy sequence, it is like, “let’s do it, Murr.”

Neil Bui: There’s that whole episode where Paige goes to a workout with Mal’s ex, now current girlfriend again. How fun was that episode? Did you have to do your own stunts?

Jordyn McIntosh: No, but that was really cool because it was like a fog machine, lights going everywhere, and music. And it was so cool but you could say I did my own stunts because I had to fall on the floor – that scene was really cool to film.

Neil Bui: And season two so far from what I’ve seen it dives a little bit more into Finn and because he’s still a child or a teen kind of figuring life out, going through challenges himself. What things do you want to say to Finn that could help him with his own healing now that you’re a fully healed inner child or on the path to getting there.

Jordyn McIntosh: Listen to your thoughts. Breathe. Just stay calm. If you do feel the need that you do have your anxiety, just count to 10. Breathe and just calmly ask if you could take a break from what you’re doing or if you need to go somewhere and try to calm down.

Neil Bui: Wow. Thank you so much. I feel like that’s not just advice for Finn, but for me and other people, hopefully. On that note, what have you learned from being a part of UnPrisoned?

Jordyn McIntosh: That healing takes time. Love takes time. Just be patient with life and things will come your way.

Neil Bui: I love that. Thank you so much for your time today, Jordyn. I can’t wait to see the rest of season two of UnPrisoned.
