ARE YOU A SHOOTER GAME ADDICT? If you know the classic Counter-Strike, then this game is exactly for you! Valorant and its crucial round-based tactical shootouts will surely take your game sense to the next level. This game is the 2nd largest next to League of Legends for Riot Games.
The game is divided into two teams, the attackers and defenders. Attackers will have to get the spike planted at any bomb sites located on the map you’re playing and make it explode. Meanwhile, the defenders should be able to stop the attacker’s goal or defuse the spike if it was planted.
Teamwork plays a big part in this game. The “comms” or voice chat is a must for making sure everyone is calibrated with the plan of entering the bomb site or defending it. Other than that, if you were able to wipe out the other team, it is already considered a point for your team. Each game is a race to 13 that is playable on an average of 40 minutes per game unless the other team concedes mid game.
But, what’s the difference?
ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
On your first match, it might be confusing because there are different agent abilities that will appear on the map. Why? It is because each agent is unique, giving them unique abilities to help the team succeed with their plan or strategy. In this game, it’s not just the gun that you need to buy, it’s the abilities per round as well. You can’t have it all! This is why your math skills will be put to the test.
Some abilities have damage, and some don’t. What makes Valorant original are the skills you’re going to use and learn in this game and how it works originally in their own maps as well. If you are advanced enough and you’d like to maximize your mastery of skills, then you can research some line-ups to be a master of your agent.
A good tip for beginners is to find your go-to agent so you’ll be comfortable while learning the other stuff like the right usage of skills, positioning, and right way of pushing or defending a site. It is overwhelming at first but if it’s a shooter game that players worldwide respect then I can say that it is worth it.

Now, let’s talk about the art of Valorant.
ARTSTYLE:
There is a feel of minimalist art style for the Valorant. The vibe of each map is unique with creative elements around. There are some paintings on the wall, weird boxes, teleport, twisting doors, and more. With the art style used, it is easy to identify the abilities of each agent that appears on the map. It is clearly visible, but it is up to your reaction time if you can dodge them.
You can easily tell the skills as well by sound effects. This will help you with escaping death or react quickly to what is happening during the game. Believe me, this is fire!
Coordinating the plays and planned execution of strategies makes this game limitless. The thrill and adrenaline for each round while saving money for your abilities and gun fights is an addition to the spice.
What players have noticed in every map that Riot Games releases is that they are really investing too much effort with creativity. Plus, they are adding some hidden objects that players really appreciate inside each map. It’s like finding an easter egg. What’s cool is that sometimes, they apply some changes on each map which gives clues to who might be the next agent!
SERVERS:
The game is available worldwide. Each server has different playstyles, different behaviors, and different vibes. It makes the game exciting to be able to meet new friends as well. The problem is if you are living on a North America server, there is no option for you to play from the other gamers on different servers. Believe me because I’ve been living in the Philippines six months before but now that I am here at NA server, I can’t use my account anymore. The good thing is I didn’t invest much in each gun’s skins, that’s why there’s not much of a regret.
Valorant made sure that wherever you are, you will still be able to connect with players globally and enjoy their game. Because of this, I’ll be giving Valorant a 4.8 out of 5 rating.
If you are thinking right now about giving this game a try, just do it!
