Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, tv, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on 3 Body Problem, Strictly Confidential, I Saw The TV Glow, and Sing Sing.
- 3 Body Problem: Final Trailer
The final trailer for 3 Body Problem frames the supernatural phenomena of the film as what happens when consciousness ends in one world only to continue on in other worlds. But the grandness of the scenes really drives home the point that this will be a global story which excites me to see how the film will incorporate a wide range of experiences and character journeys, especially with its ensemble cast.

Synopsis: Teenager Owen is just trying to make it through life in the suburbs when his classmate introduces him to a mysterious late-night TV show — a vision of a supernatural world beneath their own. In the pale glow of the television, Owen’s view of reality begins to crack.
- Sing Sing: Trailer
A24 picked up Sing Sing at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival where it premiered in the Special Presentations program. If A24 is known for delivering work that no one knew they were looking for (as has been my personal experience), then Sing Sing delivers on that with an ensemble cast of real-life formerly incarcerated men who were alumni of the Rehabilitation Through the Arts programs during the incarceration. The trailer alone highlights humanity as well as art’s ability to transform people.
Release Date: In theaters July 2024
Synopsis: Divine G (Colman Domingo), imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theater group alongside other incarcerated men, including a wary newcomer (Clarence Maclin), in this stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art, starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.
