Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, TV, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on Friendship, Hurry Up Tomorrow, Jurassic World Rebirth, and Forever.
- Friendship – Trailer
Wow. Paul Rudd is almost unrecognizable with his mustache as he becomes the new neighbor with healthy male friendships. That is about to be disturbed by the socially awkward Craig played by comedian Tim Robinson. The trailer for Friendship alone showcases so much chaotic energy, with a comedic delivery that makes you feel delightfully uncomfortable.
Release Date: US premiere on March 9, in theaters May 2025
Synopsis: Suburban dad Craig falls hard for his charismatic new neighbor, as Craig’s attempts to make an adult male friend threaten to ruin both of their lives.
- Hurry Up Tomorrow – Trailer
Abel Tesfaye, better known as the musical artist The Weeknd, is making the dive into film as he stars in Hurry Up Tomorrow, a psychological thriller that he also co-wrote and shares the name of his upcoming album. Just two years ago, audiences saw him in the HBO series The Idol, where he played a nightclub owner. This time around he’ll be playing a character closer to who is in real life as a musician. Rounding out the cast includes Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn).
Release Date: In theaters May 16, 2025
Synopsis: A musician plagued by insomnia is pulled into an odyssey with a stranger who begins to unravel the very core of his existence.
- Jurassic World Rebirth – Trailer
More Jurrassic movies? Starring the talented Jonathan Bailey (Wicked, Bridgerton), the iconic Scarlett Johanson (Black Widow, The Avengers films), and Mahershala Ali (Moonlight). Count me in, for the Viscount, of course!
Release Date: In theaters on July 2, 2025
