  1. I Saw The TV Glow: Trailer

Justice Smith (The American Society of Magical Negroes) stars in this A24 horror film that revolves around an TV show called The Pink Opaque that feels like a blend of The Twilight Zone, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and Scooby-Doo with a plot of young kids taking on monsters of the week each episode and described as “way too scary for most kids.” With a distinct visual identity led by a neon glow of pink, I Saw The TV Glow has caught my attention as I’m curious how the mystery of this horror flick unravels.

Release Date: In theaters May 3, 2024

  1.  Strictly Confidential: Trailer

Making his directorial debut with Strictly Confidential, Damian Hurley tells a story full of seduction, betrayal, and murder. And what caught my attention was the involvement of his mother, Elizabeth Hurley, in some steamy scenes in the film.

On the anniversary of Rebecca’s (Lauren McQueen) death, Mia (Lock) returns to the Caribbean paradise where she and her best friend shared her final days. As Mia sets out to unravel the mysterious events of her passing, old passions rise, new secrets are uncovered and Mia is pulled into a seductive world of sex, betrayal and murder.

  1.  Horizon: An American Saga: Trailer

Kevin Costner presents… Manifest Destiny the movie. It looks like it will be a visual experience of the 19th century, but I wonder how holistic it will be of the past and if it can properly reconcile the good and the bad of those times while telling a story audiences will want to come back for later this year.

Release Date: Chapter 1 in theaters on June 28, 2024; Chapter 2 in theaters on August 16, 2024

Just as bloody, messy, and painful. And we’re here for it. Bring on Part 2 of Season 2 of Invincible.
