Jentry Chau vs the Underworld is an animated series coming to Netflix that brings together some of the most recognizable names in Asian American entertainment to tell the story of our titular character, Jentry Chau, as he goes up against the terrors of high school as well as supernatural foes.

Synopsis: The series follows Jentry Chau (voiced by Ali Wong), a Chinese-American teen living in a small Texas town, who finds out a demon king is hunting her for the supernatural powers she’s been working her whole life to repress. With the help of her weapons expert great-aunt and a millennia-old jiangshi (Chinese hopping vampire), Jentry must now fight an entire underworld’s worth of monsters while balancing the horrors of high school.

Is this what the world was afraid of at the end of the 90s? A24 and writer/director Kyle Mooney brings another nostalgic film with retro aesthetics, also in the horror genre, this time with a more suburban teens vibe.

For the unfamiliar, Queer Eye is a makeover series that follows the Fab Five as they help individuals around the world embrace their best selves. Each member of the group has his own area of expertise (culture, grooming, food and wine, fashion, design), allowing them to change the lives of the people they meet in a number of different ways.

Synopsis: A woman finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways and must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past in order to move forward – “Laid” is a f*cked up rom-com where the answer to “why can’t I find love, is there something wrong with me?” is a resounding “Yes.
