by Neil Bui

The world of pop culture is a never ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is a Dorkaholics segment meant to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, tv, film, games, and more! Last week was Brazil’s Comic Con (Comic Con Experience, referred to as CCXP for short) which brought us quite a few updates, including an initial look at the upcoming Blue Beetle movie:

  1. A special look video was shared for Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania, only in theaters February 17, 2023.

While the video doesn’t really share anything new, it’s a satisfying look at the legacy of Ant-Man that moviegoers have witnessed which is a reminder at how much more grander Quantumania will be. Ant-Man has gone small, and has gone big, but now he’ll be going to a whole nother space entirely.

  1. A new poster for John Wick: Chapter 4 was revealed, with the film slated for release March 24, 2023.
  1. A new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 was also shared. The film will be out on May 5, 2023.

The gang is back, Groot is getting older, Drax still fails to meet social norms no matter what part of the galaxy he is in. What more is there to expect? If Mantis’s words, “don’t forget where you came from” is any indicator of the film’s plot points or themes, as well as the clip of a scared racoon is, then perhaps we should expect to see more of the origins of our Guardians of the Galaxy. Will Poulter looks full of fury as Adam Warlock, so for now it’s a safe bet to assume he’s not going to start off as a friend of the Guardians.

  1. And last, a new look at Blue Beetle in the form of a poster, see the film on opening day – August 18, 2023.
