Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, tv, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on the second season of Lopez vs. Lopez and Quantum Leap as well as new series on NBC’s upcoming fall schedule, the new partnership between DSTLRY and Lunar Distribution, and Spy x Family throw blankets available online.
- Lopez vs Lopez: Renewed for Second Season
In less than a week after its first season concluded, NBC announced that Lopez vs Lopez has been renewed for its second season.
As a big fan of the series, it’s been a pleasure interviewing cast members George Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Matt Shively, Mayan Lopez, and creator/showrunner Debby Wolfe.
Lopez vs Lopez has been a huge hit, with the highest concentration of English-dominant Hispanic homes among all broadcast primetime series. And for live + 35 viewing, the series has the highest portion of long tail viewing among all NBC comedies on Peacock.

For NBC’s 2023-2024 schedule, Quantum Leap will be returning with its second season at the 10 p.m. time slot on Tuesday nights. Lopez vs Lopez can be expected to make a return during the midseason, like when its first season debuted.

About Found: In any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. A public relations specialist, who was once herself one of those forgotten ones, and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own.
About The Irrational: Based on the bestselling author Dan Ariely’s “Predictably Irrational,” Alec Mercer is a world-renowned leader in behavioral science who lends his expertise to an array of high-stakes cases involving governments, law enforcement and corporations with his unique and unexpected approach to understanding human behavior.
- DSTLRY Partners with Lunar Distribution
Lunar Distribution has announced that they have signed a distribution agreement with the new comics publisher and collectibles company, DSTLRY.
“In a few brief years, Lunar has emerged as one of the most dependable and professional distributors in the industry,” says DSTLRY Chief Creative Officer Chip Mosher. “We’re excited to partner with an organization as trusted and aligned with the needs of the direct market as Lunar.”
Lunar Distribution’s co-founder, Christina Merkler, echoed a similar excitement towards the partnership.

The creators behind The Devil’s Cut are truly outstanding, hinting at the books to come. We can’t wait to get this line into retailers’ hands.”
